Q&A Wins Best in Show at ASIFA-East Animation Festival
Sunday night was the 40th Annual ASIFA-East Animation Festival. There were two hours of animated films. Categories included student film, commercial and sponsored film, and independent film. It was exciting to see so much strong work on screen. You couldn’t help but feel some East Coast pride.
We were thrilled to accept the award for Best in Show along with Joshua and Sarah Littman, the stars of “Q&A”. Again, many thanks to StoryCorps who we collaborated on the film with, to our fantastic Ink and Paint team, to our family, and most of all to the Littmans for being so brave and gracious to share their story with so many people. After the screening, there was no doubt that the Littmans had truly inspired the audience.
Also, “Germans in the Woods” screened in the BeFilm Festival on Saturday night, marking the first time that two Rauch Brothers films played over the course of the same weekend— an exciting milestone for us.
More photos from the weekend’s events below.

We met with the Littmans and our Ink and Paint team for a celebratory lunch before the screening. After chowing on mac and cheese, nachos, fries, and wings (the healthy stuff!) we headed over to the screening.
I think we were ALL nervous as could be standing in front of hundreds of people, but Tim and I really appreciated the opportunity to publicly honor the Littmans and all the people who made “Q&A” possible. Sarah commented that it was the biggest audience she and Joshua had heard their StoryCorps interview with.
Best of all, our dad came out from Michigan. It was his first time seeing our work on the big screen. It was a quite a weekend!
