Both could be easy to learn yet life changing approaches to how he feels when he looks back at that event. Practitioners of either and perhaps both techniques can easily be found near to where he lives. Try Goggling them or look in the Yellow Pages.

His life of being haunted by those memories can be changed in an amazingly short amount of time.
